Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is the most widely recommended psychological therapy for most mental health problems including depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and psychosis in the United Kingdom (e.g. NICE 2014) and many other countries.
In this interactive workshop participants will learn the key elements of the newly developed adaptation framework of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy through use of case studies, role plays and presentation. The workshop will cover the process of adaptation starting with the preparations for the therapy i.e. pre-engagement phase, engagement and assessment, to the actual modification of the intervention.
The workshop will also help the participants understand how the basic CBT model can be applied to psychosis.
