On the occasion of Mental Health Day, our seminar ‘Mind Your Mind’ with two leading mental health professionals of Ahmedabad will explicitly focus on mental health awareness in relation to commonly seen disorders like depression, anxiety, OCD, and teenage identity crises. The Seminar will showcase awareness through role play and one-to-one interaction with eminent psychiatrists from the Gujarat Institute of Psychological Science and Research Centre (GIPS) with broad experience in the field.
Dr Suhas Doshi, MD (Psychiatry), is one of the Directors and Consultant Psychiatrists at GIPS Hospital. He has been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) by Andrew Beck, CBT Specialist, Salford University, UK. He has a keen interest in areas like anxiety disorders, depression, and borderline personality disorder. He has been actively involved in teaching and has trained over 200 participants in CBT in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Dr Maitreya Parikh, DPM, MD (Psychiatry), is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist at GIPS Hospital, with over 20 years of experience. He trained himself in psychodynamic psychotherapy and in CBT with trainer Andrew Beck. His areas of interest include psychotherapy, biological psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. He has a keen interest in teaching and has held several workshops on CBT and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
