AKHILESH MIMANI is an Assistant Professor at School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University. Akhilesh received his PhD (2012) in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has completed research associate positions at The University of Adelaide (2016), University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney (2017) and University of Technology Sydney (2018) before joining Ahmedabad University. His research interests are in different disciplines within acoustics: Muffler and Duct acoustics, Array signal processing techniques such as time-reversal and beamforming for acoustic source localization, Computational and experiemental aeroacoustics as well as application of the finite element analysis to wave propagation problems. Akhilesh has over 40 research publications in reputed international journals and conference proceedings and has received funding from the Australian industry, in addition to a few travel grants.
