Professor Neel Kamal Chapagain was invited as one of the two international facilitators for the first APHEN-ICH field school on intangible cultural heritage, jointly organised by ICHCAP (UNESCO Category 2 Centre on Networking and Communication on ICH), the Korean National University of Cultural Heritage, and APHEN-ICH (Asia Pacific Higher Education Network for ICH). He delivered lectures on ‘ICH Safeguarding and Sustainable Development’, ‘ICH as an interdisciplinary field of study’ and ‘Ethics in ICH safeguarding and its research’. Professor Chapagain also participated in the closing ceremony of the field-school the president of KNUCH delivered the keynote speech and was also joined by the Mr Weonmo-Park, director of ICHCAP, and Professor Anucha Thirakanont, Dean of Arts at Thammasat University, Thailand- another international facilitator for the workshop, from also participated in the closing ceremony of the field-school. Apart from the two international facilitators, the workshop also included reputed Korean professors like Professor Samee Bak, and experts like Mr Gong-Ho Choi, Ms Ji-Hae Hwang, Mr Gi Hyung Keum and Mr Sung Hwan Oh.
